Using the course videos
This is part of our help section for the Parenting for Faith course.
The course has been designed to be simple and easy to use. You don’t need any formal qualifications to run a Parenting for Faith course – just enthusiasm, a passion to see those parenting and supporting children equipped and inspired, and a bit of preparation!
You don’t need to be an expert and you definitely won’t have all the answers – we’re all on this journey of learning to spiritually parent together.
Equipment
The course doesn’t need any special equipment – just the means to play or live stream the videos. If you’re not sure what you need, do chat to someone in your church who knows about your PA system.
Using the videos
The course videos are available in two ways – you can stream or download them for free or buy a DVD copy, if you prefer. In either case, we encourage you to test your setup before running the course.
Streaming
What is it?
Playing the videos live from our website (like iPlayer or YouTube).
What you need
A broadband connection. The videos will automatically be played at the highest quality that your internet connection can support.
Who can do this?
Any registered user can play the course videos this way – register for free.
Download
What is it?
You download the whole session to your computer beforehand.
What you need
You will need a broadband connection to download the file for each session, but you don’t need broadband where you’re planning to run the course.
Who can do this?
You need to apply for permission to download the sessions, and we approve these requests one-by-one, so we recommend you do this in advance of when you need it all set up.
Where do I download the videos?
Follow the links from the course page to each session. You’ll find a download button on each session page.
DVD
We know some people prefer to have a physical copy.
